Q HOW DOES HYPNOSIS WORK.
Our minds work on 2 levels, our Conscious and our Unconscious (or Subconscious)
We make decisions act and think with our conscious (logical) mind. Our unconscious mind controls habits. Sometimes we want to change something but find it very difficult. This is often because the Conscious and subconscious don`t agree. It can be like having an argument with yourself. eg. you may say to yourself I don`t want that bar of chocalate, yes I do, no I don`t, have it, don`t have it. A part of you wants to change, but part of you don`t. This is a disagreement between the 2 parts of your mind. In Hypnosis we can communicate directly with the subconscious mind, without logical thought getting in the way. We can change the the unconscious part of the mind so that the 2 parts of your mind agree. That stops you feeling as if you are arguing or fighting with yourself.
Doing what you really want to do becomes very easy and natural. This is why it is so easy to change habits of a lifetime using Hypnosis.

Q WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ADVANCED HYPNOTHERAPY AND TRADITIONAL HYPNOTHERAPY?
Traditional Hypnotherapy uses sugestions in hypnosis. Research has shown that 50% of us do not respond to sugestions alone. Often these suggestions need to be repeated many times, which means lots of sessions. Often 10 or more, or the need to play a tape on a daily basis. Sugestions can and do wear off and so the problem can grow back again.

Advanced Hypnotherapists like myself use a more advanced structured technique with NLP, which makes the successs rate much higher. You will notice a significant change in fewer sessions, usually between one and five, and these changes are usually permanent.
Advanced Hypnotherapy reprograms your subconscious mind with the new behaviour, so the problem does not grow back.

Q HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
One to stop smoking (sometimes a backup session is required)
For other conditions normally 3 to 5 sessions.
Sessions normally last about one hour and usually spaced a week apart.

Q CAN EVERYONE BE HYPNOTISED?
Yes, as long as you are capable of following simple instructions. The only thing that can stop you going into Hypnosis, is fear. Fear of the unknown and fear of what to expect etc. Thats why time is spent answering all your questions and making sure you are completely comfortable with everthing before we proceed.

Q WILL I BE ASLEEP?
No. Hypnosis is the Greek word for sleep, but you do not go to sleep. Advanced Hypnotherapy is interactive and requires you to work with the therapist and respond by talking and answering questions during the session. This would not be possible if you were asleep.

Q WILL I REMEMBER WHAT IS SAID?
Yes, you will remember what is said.

Q WILL I LOSE CONTROL?
No, you are fully aware of everything during the session.
